This home had extremely old and small kitchen. Off the kitchen was an old style formal dining room. The family enjoyed entertaining and hosted numerous family diners but in a very crammed space. Bringing home and family together was important to them. The back deck was small and unappealing. The carport was crammed and decrepit and not a good use of space. With a growing family, they were ready to make a change.
We gutted the existing kitchen and dining room adding a large addition onto the back of the house which now incorporates a spacious functional combined kitchen/dining area. We allowed space for a cozy seating area where two high back chairs create a comfortable nook. The space is now ideal for family gatherings and entertaining.
The carport was removed and the area was expanded onto the house creating a home gym and a double garage. In the back of the yard, we built a 1200 sq. ft. automotive workshop to satisfy the homeowner’s passion for rebuilding cars. In the workshop is a hoist and ample storage and organizational space for tools and gadgets.
For street appeal, we finished the house with hardy board, new garage doors, new windows, a new beautiful wooden front door and a grand covered entrance.
